Hypervibe Vibration Machines

Hypervibe has a couple of models, but their main model is the Hypervibe G17. It is a fourth generation unit. They have a long range of frequency specification. At the lowest level, the vibration frequency it generates will be low enough to comfortably do lymphatic drainage. At the highest level, it will generate a high G-force. The Hypervibe G17 model has a smaller platform compared to other models in the market place.
These machines are priced at almost 2 thousand dollars ($2,000) more than the Nitro Fit Deluxe Plus which is a similar model and that actually comes out of the same factory at a fraction of the price (the sale prices you can get the top of the line Nitro Fit Deluxe Plus - a different brand made at the exact same factory as Hypervibe using the exact same underlying vibration technology - for approx $1,600 with free shipping)! Although the Hypervibe has a video screen, once you know they exercises you can get comparable power and save close to 2,000 (2k) on the unit. One thing to be aware of with both the Hypervibe and the Nitro Fit is they both have a lot of power, so when you are using them at a certain speed you will get some movement in the tower. This won’t damage the unit but display may be difficult to read at these speeds. One thing about these units are, they have a lot of power more then most will ever use so you won’t have to worry about ever outgrowing the machine.
Another point to note, though, is the machines become a bit noisy at higher frequencies. It still is a great machine but it is more noisy among the machines that are quiet enough. It remains perfectly quiet up till 20-22 Hz or so. But after that it can possibly start making some noise.
At the new price the Hypervibe is a quite expensive but it is good to workout with. However, if you can get the Nitro Fit for $2,000 less than the Hypervibe and yet still get the sheer power your want, then the Nitro Fit is probably a better choice. But if the video screen is important to you then stick with the Hypervibe G17.
Hypervibe G17 vs Galaxy
The Hypervibe G17 that you see today is a descendant of a very expensive machine that was one of the most powerful ever - the Galaxy. The Galaxy was built upon the same principles that a modern day Hypervibe is built. However, it was much more powerful - let's say, around 20%-25% more powerful. The flip side though was the cost to attain that extra bit of quality. While the Galaxy was priced at $17,995, the modern-day Hypervibe G17 sells for less than 1/6th (one-sixth) of that price. In other words, the Galaxy used to sell for a whopping 15 grands extra. So comparing the prices, I would take the modern Hypervibe any day over the Galaxy, given that what it gives even with the reduced specifications is more than adequate for me and for most people that I can imagine (and have worked with ever).
But there's a better option than that.
Nitrofit - a different brand that I have mentioned earlier on this page - also derives from the same principles, comes from the same factory as Hypervibe with similar tech specs, and is almost another grand and half cheaper. Even better are the Sonic machines - check them here. They start just a few hundred dollars above Hypervibe G17, and are almost as powerful as the Galaxy for 1/8th the price. So as good a machine Hypervibe is, for the same tech, I would go for Nitrofit, get the same tech and power as Hypervibe, and save the money.
All in all, I the G17 model by Hypervibe is an okay choice. A good machine - but I would save the money and get a Nitrofit.

More about Hypervibe machines
The Hypervibe is a relatively unusual brand - a pivotal vibration machine, that I happen to recommend to those, who want to have only pivotal vibration, and do not care about spiral. And the recommendation is higher compared to other all pivotal machines except the Nitrofit. Hypervibe is one of the better pivotal machines available today. I normally recommend spiral, sonic and other technologies, but almost never pivotal. Except a couple like the Hypervibe and the Nitrofit, which are not spiral (so you still miss the dual motion), but is intense (though it will certainly miss out on the other great benefits that a spiral machine can bring to those who need/want). Pivotal is a wonderful vibration motion, but usually I recommend spiral as a spiral machine will have pivotal as well as oscillating vibration, both included. So those machines will by default give you the whole benefit that pivotal machines will give you, and more.
And that brings us to the pricing of these machines. If you notice the my page on pivotal vibrations, you would notice that I have mentioned pivotal to be usually the most inexpensive vibration technology possible. Some of the better pivotal vibration machines go for as little as $300-$600. But Hypervibe is a whopping three grands. That is another grand over and above the typical two-grand-or-so machines.
Why so? Does the higher price make sense?
The higher price of Hypervibe can be attributed to the vibration range that they have been able to produce. If you notice, the vibration range of the Hypervibe machines at the lower end of the spectrum is 6 Hz, and at the higher end of the spectrum it is 28 Hz. Now, that's a pretty interesting range. I shall come to that a bit later. To complete the reasoning of the high price, the other significant fact about Hypervibe is the 17G g-force that the machine is capable of producing. And that's the other feature that drives up the perception about Hypervibe in people's minds, and that lets the brand drives up the price.
The frequency spectrum of Hypervibe
The frequency spectrum that a Hypervibe machine offers is 5-35 Hz. Of that, 5-18 Hz is at the lower frequency band, and above that till 35 Hz is the higher frequency band. There are a lot of machines of this sort that do not go all the way up to 35 Hz. In fact, without naming any other brand, there are a lot of other machines that advertise 30-speed settings, but in reality never go up anywhere close. Rather, they stay within 14-18 Hz with different vibration settings (not a change of the frequency Hz values). But again, there are machines that easily do 50 Hz, an there are machines that would even go up to 60 Hz. More about this later.
With the vibration that Hypervibe produces, at the lower end (5-18 Hz), one would get the benefits of lymph drainage, blood circulation, detoxification, massage, joint management and related health maintenance benefits. Also, the EMF for this machine is very low, irrespective of the vibration frequency that the machine is set at.
Once the machine starts hitting the Hz ranges of 19 and above, the behavior of the machine changes. The nature of benefits become different. The G-force starts going up rapidly, peaking at 17.3G at the top frequency setting. There is a machine which produces equivalent and feels a bit stronger - the Galileo (Vibraflex) machines - but that costs a massive 10-grand ($10,000) extra. That's too much money for too little additional benefit in my opinion. In general, 7G-10G force is sufficient for most vibration exercise takers. 12G is on a high side, which almost nobody needs except for sports-persons and athletes developing muscles and bodies. 17.3G, which is the upper limit for HyperVibe, will cover the craziest exercise needs. And these days, to cover the "wow" factor so that they do not fall behind in their marketing department, a lot of the brands are going for much more than 12G - taking it to a zone where practically none would use it. It is practically meaningless to go up and up in terms of G beyond a point.
G-force produced by Hypervibe
Hypervibe does a good job of producing a significantly high G-force. 35Hz is not too high a vibration frequency, it could have been higher (as it is with many other machines today). However, producing 17.3G needs a lot of acceleration, which is possible only with a significant movement quantum within very short spans of time. The Hypervibe company has been able to achieve it with the help of two fundamental factors.
(1) The vibration motor. The usual power of the vibration motors for this range of machines is 300-500 watts. Hypervibe has pushed it as high as 900 watts. That leads to the generation of significant energy for moving the base vibration platform. And while Hypervibe is not the most silent of all machines, it is surprisingly silent given the power of the motor and the immense G-force it generates.
(2) The other factor is the small size of the base platform. Unlike the typical 27" x 24" huge platform, Hypervibe has a small platform. The size of the platform is 21.1" x 13.2". The platform size is large enough for an exercise taker to stand comfortably and take vibrations, but small enough that the motor can provide high accelerations, leading to such a high G-force.
With that said, what do I think? In my personal opinion, one almost never needs to go beyond the 12G mark, so I would not care about the extreme G-force limit, and would rather worry about the full vibration frequency spectrum (3-5 Hz at the lower end, and 50 Hz at the higher end). But that's just me, and that's what I recommend. Whether you want my way or 17.3G (you probably would never use even 14G) without the best possible vibration frequency ranges as well as without the spiral vibration, is up to you. I would go for something more balanced and useful, any day. Not this.
The high 11mm vibration amplitude
Yet another interesting fact about the Hypervibe G17 machine is the maximum vibration amplitude of 7 mm, that it is capable of producing. This vibration amplitude is significantly high, given that the vibration is purely pivotal, is happening from a really small platform and most importantly, given what human bodies need. While a lot of the machines go all the way up to 10mm, Hypervibe produces a similar effect with only 7 mm of vibration, making the exercise experience less jarring and more deeply penetrating. Thus, as far as vibration amplitude is concerned, Hypervibe does well. In fact, it does well on most technical fronts, just that, it is the best overall package in no department apart from that ridiculously high (and not-useful) G-force.
Body make
The machine can withstand the high G-force and high amplitude because of the plastic frame with fully steel internals underneath. Competitors of Hypervibe would have partial or full plastic underneath also. Not the Hypervibe. The significance of having a plastic frame is that, it can remain flexible even at the high vibration amplitudes and at full frequencies. The significance of the internal steel structure is that, it can absorb a lot of force underneath. This combination is really effective.
Delivery of exercise impacts
In fact, the Hypervibe G17 is a machine on which, 10 minutes of vibration exercises gives a lot back to the body. When people claim that 10 minutes of vibration machine exercises will make you feel different, Hypervibe is certainly a good example of one such machine that makes one feel different. While it certainly does not belong to the class of Sonic machines - they are in a different league altogether as far as excellence is concerned with absolutely no other machine matching them - but it definitely gives you a good, thorough workout. If you do not care about spiral vibrations and are happy with only pivotal vibration-driven exercises, then the Hypervibe is definitely a machine to go for - the other pivotal-vibration-only brand to go for being Nitrofit (a more rational choice with a video screen lesser but a lot of money saved).
Origin of Hypervibe machines
Hypervibe is originally a whole body vibration machine from Australia. However, they have their shipping centers in the USA. The Hypervibe machines bought in the USA are shipped from New York and a number of centers in California. By the way, in case you are looking to take a trial on a Hypervibe machine, call me up and let me know which city you are located in. I shall figure out with them which is the nearest/best location for you to try out a Hypervibe before you buy it. And also, note that there are different distributors locally in Canada also, which are different from the USA distributors. Let me know if you are in Canada and I shall help accordingly.
Pricing
While Hypervibe is a leading pivotal vibration machine of today (once again, between pivotal and spiral I would take spiral vibrations any day and enjoy the benefits of both oscillating and pivotal as well as the combined spiral vibration, but having said that, Hypervibe provides the best pivotal vibrations that exist today in the USA/Canada), I feel their price is a bit on the higher side. There are other machines that are also great and use a similar pivotal vibration technology with sufficiently high (although a bit lesser) G-force, but a thousand-and-half dollars less expensive (and this includes machines I like). I don't have any technical complaint against Hypervibe as a machine though - pricing is a different question altogether. Take Nitofit for example - comes out of the same factory as Hypervibe, uses the same vibration technology with the similar specs (apart from the video screen), and priced a bit more than half of Hypervibe.
And then again, I would prefer a spiral motion to be included, that Hypervibe does not have. Otherwise, save the money and get something better for a thousand bucks lesser. In this case, I would prefer a full spectrum frequency range, with the lower end being 3-5 Hz and higher end being 50 Hz. Hypervibe does not go beyond 35 Hz. In my opinion, unless you have an exceptional case (call me to check if you have, or take our quiz), 12G is enough for most, 17.3G is too high and is more a marketing term. Personally, I do care a lot about those factors though, my experience suggests that I ought to care. That said, and in spite of its over-pricing, Hypervibe is a really good pivotal vibration machine. If you know you do not need anything beyond pivotal vibration (not sure why you would not include spiral and also pay lesser - that's what machines such as VMax etc. get you - the spiral along with the pivotal - at a much lesser cost, and practically at the same quality) and are fine to have a vibration frequency only up to 35 Hz (not sure why you would not want the full range - and nothing beats Sonic in this department and actually nearly all the departments), and care about the extra G-force (I do not care beyond 14G, that's already way too extreme for practically everyone), Hypervibe is a great choice for you.
Warranties and Refunds
Ensure that you get the latest make of the Hypervibe G17 series. If needed, get the manufacture date and the serial number. In my experience, I have rarely been in a situation when a Hypervibe was returned. Their engineering is among the better ones. In case a Hypervibe machine is returned, the brand will charge 10% for restocking rather than refunding a full 100%. However, they do offer a 1-month free trial in most of USA, which is sufficiently long for all practical purposes. Also, they provide a 2-year warranty on the machine, which includes the motor. The customer service is good.
