VibraTrim (VT, also called Vibra Trim) is the one of the best in among the spiral vibration machines. And spiral vibration, which is a hybrid of oscillating vibrations and pivotal vibrations, offers the entire range of vibration benefits that one could possibly get. So in summary, VibraTrim machines are among the really good machines that are available today (except for the Turbo Sonic, which is in a different league of experience and cost, both - not many machines can match Vibra Trim).

VibraTrim machines are among the least-noise machines that I have ever come across. This has been implemented by smooth machinery, brushless dual DC motors and a really stable vibration platform that would literally never budge at the highest vibration frequencies. Before heading over to the technical specifications, let me spare a few words for the two VibraTrim models that I really love - the VT-500 and the VT-400.
VT-500
Let me start with the motor. As I have specified while discussing WBV motor requirements on this page, I prefer DC brushless dual motor machines. DC, because it ensures there will be no EMF. Brushless, because brushes tend to wear and tear a lot faster, and not having the brush eliminates this problem completely. Dual motor - as each motor would independently take care of its own job - the direction of vibration that it is assigned to do, without conflicting with the other motor. VT-500 provides exactly this. They have a large platform of 26 inches by 30 inches, and 2 DC motors with adequate power that will ensure no amplitude lag of vibrations. The oscillating motor is a mammoth 1,000 watt DC, and the pivotal motor (which is always weaker for all brands) is a commercial grade 500 watt DC. Both are brushless. The weight capacity is 440 lbs, which is higher than even some of the sonic machines. In VT-500, one can control the speed of the motors with a dial (unlike the push button based control, which is the case with VT-400). Further, the accompanied DVD, the exercise straps that come with the machine for the upper body, and a detailed instruction manual (84 page long), make using the unit a pleasure. The prices are around $2,595 (and I do tend to have large discounts often enough), but the extra $500-$600 beyond the traditional $1,900-$2,000 range machines is worth because of the power, all-round feature set, comfort and exercise intensity that you can generate and control with a VT-500.
VT-400
The VT-400 is also another of my favorite machines. VT-400 has won the Editors' Choice award (the nationally recognized independent review award) for 3 consecutive years, because of the quality, the price at which Vibra Trim provides this quality for, and the customer service that Vibra Trim as a company generally has. Just like the VT-500, the VT-400 also uses the spiral vibration technology. Similar to the VT-500, this has dual DC brushless motors. Being DC, the EMF issue is absent. The machines are absolutely quiet (just like the VT-500), and are a pleasure to use. The VT-400 is less on power compared to VT-500 on the oscillating motor, but has the same power for the pivotal one. The oscillating motor is 500 watt DC (less than half of the 1,000 watt oscillating motor of VT-500). And the pivotal motor is 300 watt DC. The platform is 24 inches by 30 inches, slightly smaller than the VT-500, to compensate for the lower power of the oscillating motor. The weight capacity is 380 lbs, which is more than adequate for most cases even after applying the 100 lbs thumb rule. Again, like VT-500, the 2024 model comes with a complete DVD and 84 page detailed instruction manual booklet. And these machines are priced in the expected $1,900-$2,000 range.
VT-500 and VT-400 are two of my top-5 spiral vibration machines. These are, in my opinion, two of the best spiral machines that were ever built (VMax Pulser and Trio are two other really good spiral machines). VT 500 and VT 400 machines, because of the frequency range they offer, are chiropractors favorites. They are capable of offering the whole rich range of what a vibration machine can offer. Blood circulation, lymph drainage, joint relaxation, knee weakness management, bone density improvement, detoxification and rigorous exercises - VT-500 and VT-400 cover the full range. The user experience is amazing.
VT-Mini
While I am not a fan of the older VT-202 machine (nothing wrong with it but nothing special about it either - thankfully it is no longer in circulation), I actually find the VT Mini, an upgrade of the already-great VT-202+1 dual motor machine, a rare one (the other one is VMax Fitness Q5). The reason is that, it is a portable machine that has surprising power. Usually, the portable vibration machines feel like toys rather than the real machines, if you know what I mean by that.
However, the VT Mini is an exception. A traditional portable WBV machine would be good for circulation and massage, but nothing else. VT-Mini breaks the norm. Both the DC motors are powerful, one being 1,000 watts and the other being 500 watts. That's more powerful than a lot of the non-portable machines! It can generate almost 10 Gs (usually a machine of this range will generate 3-4 Gs - this is literally twice of that). In other words, VT Mini is truly a powerful portable spiral vibration machine.

My general impression about Vibra Trim machines
In general, I like VT machines. A reason for that is their choice to go for spiral vibrations. One of the two vibrations is oscillating and the other one is pivotal. Generally, I like the oscillating vibration. And along with pivotal, it creates an 8 shape (the English digit "eight") when vibrated in a dual mode. That is one of the healthiest vibration motions possible, as it is never hard on the body and yet will give a massage-like experience. One can make it as hard of soft as they want to.
When testing for VT machine, one thing that captures attention is how easily it can handle weight. For example, on VT-500, with the new 1,000-watt oscillating vibration motor (and the 500 pivotal dual motor, which is the second independent motor in this machine), it is really easy to go all the way up to 400 lbs. The official weight capacity of a VibraTrim VT-500 is 440 lbs, which is higher than some of the lower-end Turbo Sonic machines. In practice, a friend of mine had got his 220 lb friend get on the machine with about 80 lbs of dumbbells. At 300 lbs of weight in that test, the VT-500 machine had not shown any sign of rattling or slowing down. It was just effortless and simply wonderful.
If you have read this site carefully, you probably already know that as you move to the edges of the platform by stretching your legs, your body starts getting a higher impact of the vibration amplitude felt. And in many of the machines that we tested, this is where the gap between promise and reality starts to show up. A lot of machines start becoming sluggish and the lack of power becomes apparent. Not the VibraTrim. If you stand with your legs wider apart on VibraTrim machines and stand on the edge, the machine will keep vibrating like always - no slowing down, no rattling and no feeling of power loss.
Two other reasons that I am a fan of Vibra Trim machines is that: (a) the machines are absolutely quiet - clearly among the least noisy machines that exist, and (b) an exercise on these machines never tend to leave jarring effects on the body (unless one keeps taking too long) - just like a sonic machine. In a way, if you cannot afford sonic machines, this is one of the best alternatives that you have.
Another awesome point about VibraTrim machines is the vibration plate (platform) thickness. That gives the base a solid feeling. Also, being a DC machine, the vibration generator will not produce any EMF, making life cooler for those who cannot tolerate EMF. Also, the two powerful DC motors do a very good job in delivering true frequency. So, unlike many other machines where to generate say 30 Hz vibration you need to set 40 Hz in loaded conditions (and the machine subdues to generate approximately 30 Hz), in Vibra Trim machines one would set to 30 Hz and really get a 30 Hz vibration in the process, under similar loads.
